Bruksvilkår

Sist oppdatert: september 2026 · tekst på engelsk

These terms apply to anyone using the Sidsmail program and anyone visiting sidsmail.com. They're kept short on purpose: Sidsmail is made by one person, to be used with common sense.

What Sidsmail is

Sidsmail is a free program that runs on your computer and lets you read and send email through your own accounts (Gmail, Outlook, or any IMAP/SMTP account). There is no Sidsmail account, no subscription, no paid service — you install it, set up your email accounts, and the program is yours to use.

When you use Sidsmail

No warranties

Sidsmail is provided "as is", with no guarantee that it will run without interruptions or errors. It's built carefully and tested before every release, but it's the work of one person — bugs can happen, and third-party features (like signing in with Google or Microsoft) can change or fail without their advance notice. To the extent the law allows, the author isn't liable for losses resulting from using the program; the practical advice is to always keep backups of anything important.

Supporting the project

Donations made on the "Support" page are voluntary, processed directly by Stripe, and don't unlock any extra feature — Sidsmail is the same program whether you donate or not. Since these are donations rather than a purchase, there are no automatic refunds; if something went wrong with a payment, write to the contact below.

Ownership

The name "Sidsmail", the logo, and this website's content belong to the author. You're free to use the program for your own email; that doesn't give you any rights over the brand or the design.

Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time — for example, to reflect a new feature. The version in force is always the one published here, with the update date at the top of this page.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Portuguese law.
