Gmail, Outlook, iCloud, Yahoo or any IMAP server, side by side. An "All inboxes" view brings it together; each account keeps its own colour.

Mail in real time

IMAP IDLE: a message arrives the second it is sent, with no polling. Lives in the system tray, with a badge and a sound — when you want them.

Quiet hours and snooze

Decide when you don't want to be interrupted, with an exception for the senders who matter. Snooze a message until later, tomorrow or next week.

Triage from the keyboard

Archive, delete, star, move, next unread — all one key away. Search with operators: from:, subject:, has:, before:.

Sign in with Google or Microsoft

Sign in through your browser, the way it should be — or use an app password if you prefer. Sidsmail finds the servers on its own.

    Before you ask.

    Does it work with Gmail?

    Yes. Either sign in with Google (one click in your browser) or use an app password — Gmail refuses your normal password in every email client, not just Sidsmail.

    And Outlook and Hotmail?

    Yes, by signing in with Microsoft. Microsoft no longer accepts app passwords on personal accounts, so signing in through the browser is the only way — Sidsmail handles the rest.

    Where is my data kept?

    In %APPDATA%\Sidsmail, on your computer: accounts, settings and a local copy of your messages for reading offline. Uninstalling never touches that folder; "Erase local data", in Settings, removes it entirely.

    How much does it cost?

    Nothing. Sidsmail is free and has no "Pro" edition. It is made by one person in their spare time — if it is useful to you, you can support it, but it is never required and nothing is locked.

    HTML messages only show as plain text?

    Sidsmail uses Windows' WebView2 to render HTML. It ships with Windows 11 and most up-to-date Windows 10 installs; if it is missing, install it here — meanwhile the app shows everything as plain text, nothing is lost.
